As of July 1, 2021, SnapStream will no longer sell new instances of Moco. We will continue to provide full customer service and support for existing Moco customers, including technical support and bug fixes. For additional information, please see our FAQ below:
Why is SnapStream discontinuing sales of Moco?
When we found out that Volicon was shutting down in 2019, we viewed it as an exciting opportunity to enter the compliance monitoring market, given the complementary nature of the solution to SnapStream’s core product. Unfortunately, we found that the compliance monitoring market is more limited than we anticipated and doesn’t show signs of significant growth.
Will SnapStream continue to support Moco?
Yes, SnapStream will continue to support existing Moco customers until end-of-life on Moco hardware (5 years from your purchase date).
What's the latest release of Moco?
Moco 10.1 was released in January 2021. This upgrade is available to all existing Moco customers.
Will SnapStream fix software defects in Moco?
SnapStream will selectively make critical bug fixes to serve existing customers to coincide with our quarterly release schedule.
Will SnapStream develop new Moco features?
No, there will be no new feature development.
How is this different from Volicon’s recent EOL?
SnapStream has a strong core business and will be there to support all our Moco customers through the EOL of the Moco hardware (5 years from your purchase date). We have full access to the source code and will continue to provide bug fixes throughout that time.
