How to collect logs from the Mac Console

The Mac Console is Apple's built-in system logging tool. In the course of troubleshooting a problem with the SnapStream web player for Macs, we may ask you to collect the Console log to provide detail on what is happening during playback. Here's how to do it.

  1. Click the Search (Spotlight) button in the upper right corner of your Menu Bar. Type "console" and hit Enter.

  2. The Console window will open. You will see log messages from various sources with timestamps.

  3. Attempt to start playback or Live TV in your web browser to reproduce the problem with the web player. New messages will print in the Console log.

  4. Highlight the new messages and copy and paste into an email or text file, and send to SnapStream support
