How accurate is SnapStream clipping?

In most cases SnapStream is able to provide clipping accuracy of approximately one second. This means that you should expect the endpoint of a clip to be within one second of where the clip marker was placed when the clip was submitted.

When clipping MPEG-2 transport stream files in the Mac player, clips may be slightly less accurate, due to the limitations of the decoding framework.

If it is necessary for clips to be more accurate than this, we recommend importing the clip into a video editor for fine editing.

If you find that clips seem less accurate than this, please contact SnapStream support for troubleshooting. You can find a how-to for clipping in the SnapStream webplayer here
