How do you identify the source of the TV signal connected to SnapStream.
- If your TV signal is physically connected to your SnapStream Express/Pro/HD, navigate to the SnapStream Web Interface and go to Admin - Settings - Tuners.
Edit the Tuner and locate the "Tuner Signal Type"- Analog: This means your TV signal originates from analog cable, a cable box and/or a satellite receiver.
- ATSC: This means your TV signal originates from a digital antenna.
- QAM: This means your TV signal originates from clear QAM provided by your cable provider and/or custom QAM provided by a dedicated encoder connected to a cable box and/or satellite receiver.
- IPTV: This means your TV signal originates from a SnapStream Encoder and/or your own provided IPTV source.
- If your TV signal is physically connected to your SnapStream Encoder, Navigate to the SnapStream Encoder Web Interface and go to Admin - Settings - Streams.
Edit the Stream and locate the "Tuner"- If you see "BDA Analog Capture Secondary" in the Tuner name, you have a SnapStream Component & HDMI Encoder. This means that your TV signal originates from a cable box or a satellite receiver. Their is a possibility that you may have taken another type of signal (HD-SDI and etc) and converted it to a composite, component and/or hdmi signal also.
- If you see "Video Capture" in the Tuner name, you have a SnapStream QAM & ATSC Encoder. This means that your TV signal originates from analog cable, a cable box and/or a satellite receiver
- If you see "ATSC" in the Tuner name and Tuner Type is set to ATSC, you have a SnapStream QAM & ATSC Encoder. This means your TV signal originates from a digital antenna.
- If you see "ATSC" in the Tuner name and Tuner Type is set to QAM, you have a SnapStream QAM & ATSC Encoder. This means your TV signal originates from clear QAM provided by your cable provider and/or custom QAM provided by a dedicated encoder connected to a cable box and/or satellite receiver.
