Question:
How do I view Digital Program Insertion (DPI) information in MOCO?
Answer:
To View DPI Monitoring:
- Click on the Monitor tab
- Select DPI (you can also select DPI from the Home Screen)
- Choose the appropriate INPUT from the left side of the screen
What are Heartbeats:
A heartbeat is a periodic check to verify that the signal is still alive. These have been configured to be shown or hidden by checkbox. This is to help limit congestion of messaging. Selecting to Show Heartbeats will hide any non-"Content Identification" messages.
Where can I find relative information about each content PID?
Each message in the DPI page is loaded by the PIDs for the respective Input. These can be more readily viewed by using the "Expand" drop down for the desired PID.
There is also an available option to copy details of that message to the clipboard.
What are the available durations for view?
Currently there are a few options in terms of available durations. The system allows for viewing in increments of 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, and 1 day.
Also, users can choose to view durations for the Current Day or for the Previous and Current Day, should it be necessary to span across a day's time.
Users may select an option from the predefined choices, or there is also the ability to select a custom duration by clicking the mouse and dragging across the desired window within the graph display.
Lastly, it is possible to specify a time and date for viewing by using the calendar drop down.
At any point, there is a LIVE button that can redirect the feed back to the current date and time's programming.
Can I still use the same Clipping/Playback functions from this screen?
Yes, all the same functions that exist in the WATCH tab are available below the video preview at the bottom.
If there are questions about the buttons, the "?" icon provides a detailed list of what each button does and a hotkey available to use instead of clicking with the mouse.
**Important Notes**
- Logs can be ingested as SCTE-35 or SCTE-104. MOCO will automatically capture this for any inputs that carry them
- You can only view one Input at a time
