As of June 25, 2021, SnapStream will no longer be developing new features for SnapStream EDU. This also includes discontinuing the sale of new set top boxes. We will continue to provide full customer service and support for existing EDU customers, including technical support and priority bug fixes.

Is SnapStream continuing to sell EDU?
No. We are not continuing to sell EDU.
Will SnapStream develop new EDU-specific features?
No, EDU is end-of-life and there will be no new feature development. However, EDU customers will continue to receive updates to their SnapStream software including non-EDU-specific features.
Will SnapStream fix software defects in EDU?
SnapStream will selectively make critical bug fixes to serve existing customers.
Will SnapStream continue to support EDU?
Yes, SnapStream will continue to support existing EDU customers until end-of-life on their EDU server hardware (5 years from purchase date).
Will SnapStream continue to support set-top boxes?
Yes. SnapStream will continue to support existing set-top boxes until end-of-life for the associated EDU or SnapStream server hardware.
Will SnapStream continue to sell set top boxes?
No. We will not sell any new set-top boxes to new customers. If an existing customer needs additional set top boxes, we will evaluate their request on a case by case basis.
What about set-top boxes that are in use with non EDU hardware?
We will continue to support existing set top boxes for non-EDU customers though EOL of their server hardware. We will no longer sell set top boxes for non-EDU customers.
Will SnapStream allow me to replace set-top boxes with FireTV Box/Sticks?
SnapStream will support SnapStream STBs and FireTV units until the accompanying server has reached end-of-life, but we won't be selling new licenses for STBs of any sort.
