What Streams are available?
20 streams are available for you to begin recording once you've been admitted into the beta group and upgraded to SnapStream 21.4:
- ABC News Live
- NBC News NOW
- CBSN (including 12 regional editions)
- Newsmax
- Newsy
- PBS
- Bloomberg
- Russia Today
How long does the beta period last?
Organizations participating in the streaming channels limited beta will be given access for 90 days.
Does the new streaming channels feature work with my SnapStream on-prem appliance?
Streaming channels is only available as a part of SnapStream Cloud. Streaming channels is not available as a part of SnapStream’s on-prem appliance. If your beta application is approved and you aren’t a SnapStream Cloud customer, we will set one up for you for the duration of the beta test.
What will streaming channels cost?
There is no charge for the streaming channel record feature during the limited beta. We're unsure what the pricing for streaming channels will be when it is launched.
I don’t see the stream I want. How do I request getting it added?
At the end of the list of available streams, you’ll find a tile that will enable you to request additional sources. When you request a stream, our team will be notified and will look into the logistics and availability of adding it into SnapStream.
How long will my streamed content be archived?
During the limited beta, each customer will receive 1TB of storage for streaming channel recordings, separate from their normal SnapStream Cloud storage. Once the 1TB of storage has been used, the oldest streaming channel recordings will be deleted to make room for new ones.
How many users in my organization can try the new Streams feature?
All current users within your organization will have the ability to test the new Streams feature once you are granted access to the limited beta.
Can I do the same things with Streams content that I do with broadcast TV content?
Yes! The new Streams feature helps bring more source content into your SnapStream platform so you are sure to never miss a moment. Once you start recording a stream, you can watch, search, clip, and publish video moments using the accompanying transcripts from it just as you do with your current broadcast TV content.
