Question:
How do I e-mail a clip to someone using SnapStream?
Answer:
You have two different options depending on whether you have already created your clip or not.
If you have not created a clip to share yet
- Start playing back a recording in your SnapStream Library by clicking the title of the recording or the play icon to the right of it.
- When playback is at the point you would like your new clip to start, mark it with the clip start icon in the player.
- When the playback is at the point where you want your new clip to end, mark it with the clip end icon in the player.
- Now click the scissors, icon on the right panel of the playback interface.
- Select Share via E-mail from the Clip and drop down box
- Fill out the relevant information for your share e-mail.
-
Share To: The e-mail address(es) to which the playback links will be sent. Separate multiple addresses with commas, as in the 'To" field of an e-mail.
-
From: The "from" address that will appear in the e-mails. This field will autopopulate with the e-mail address of the user who is currently logged in, if an address is specified.
-
Subject Prefix: Text that will be added to the subject line of the e-mails that the user receives.
-
Body: The text of the e-mail.
-
Duration: The number of days for which the shared clip will remain available for viewing.
-
- Click the Clip button.
If your Clip has already been created
- Go to the SnapStream Library tab of the SnapStream WebUI, and click on My Moments or My Clips to identify the clip that you want to share.
- Click the email icon for the clip that you want to share.
- In the resulting popup, enter the relevant information.
-
To: The e-mail address(es) to which the playback links will be sent.
-
Share Duration: The number of days for which the shared clip will remain available for viewing.

Additional Notes:
Sharing via e-mail is only available for clips that have been created. Sharing of entire recordings is not a function of our software. However, there are no restrictions on the length of the clips that you create.
