In order to send video from a local encoder to a SnapStream Cloud account, the following TCP outbound ports will be used:
- Port 443 (HTTPS) on cloud.snapstream.com and serverNNN.cloud.snapstream.com
- For most encoders, including SnapStream encoders, RTMP transport will be used for streaming to SnapStream Cloud. RTMP uses TCP outgoing port 1935.
- For some special situations, TCP transport may be used. In this case, at least one other outgoing port for each channel that you will be recording simultaneously will be used. Typically these will be TCP outgoing ports between 10001 and 20000.
- The encoder will need to make HTTPS requests to serverNNN.cloud.snapstream.com on port 9190 (TCP). Note, "ServerNNN" represents a specific, numbered server instance, which can be found in the address bar of your web browser when you are logged in to your Cloud account. You can also contact SnapStream support for this information.
In order for users to playback video from a SnapStream Cloud account, the following TCP ports on the cloud server will be used:
- Port 443 (HTTPS) on cloud.snapstream.com and serverNNN.cloud.snapstream.com
- Port 9190 (HTTPS) on cloud.snapstream.com and serverNNN.cloud.snapstream.com for the Moments tab to populate during playback.
