How Do I Export to SFTP

Question:

How can I export recordings or clips to an SFTP server?

Answer:

In order to export to an SFTP destination, you must first create the SFTP Export Destination within SnapStream. To create a new STFP Export Destination, you will:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Settings > Folders.
  2. On the Folder Settings page, scroll to the bottom to the Export Destinations section. Click the plus (+) button to add a new Export Destination.
  3. On the Add Export Destination page, select SFTP from the Type dropdown menu.
  4. Fill out the relevant information for the SFTP  connection and clip Add SFTP to create the Export Destination.

After the SFTP Export Destination has been created, the destination will now show up in the list of exportable destinations when performing an Export or a Clip and Export.

Additional Notes:

In order to make a successful connection to the SFTP server, the appropriate network ports need to be opened to allow SFTP connections from the SnapStream server. Also, the SFTP folder permissions need to be set to allow the SnapStream server to write to those folders.
