Understanding Expiration Policies for your SnapStream

Your SnapStream appliance stores recordings, clips, and any other media items locally. By default, when SnapStream detects there won't be enough space to store the newest recordings, it will delete the oldest unlocked recording or clip in the Library.

- Any created clips are locked by default and users have the option to unlock or lock media items if the SnapStream group has the permission enabled.

- Your storage should never reach 100% capacity as the system auto-deletes any old unlocked media items to make room for new media items

-For Information regarding Upcoming  Recordings or what recordings will be deleted, you can head to the Schedule tab and select Stats.

- If you have a SnapStream admin account, the System Status page will break down what media items are taking up most of your storage.
