Tweets / Posts do not appear on timelines unless re-tweeted / re-posted

Issue or Problem:

When you tweet/post on Twitter/X, you can conveniently access the tweet/post using the link in the SnapStream WebUI, but you won't see it on your timeline when logging into Twitter/X directly.

Cause:

From now on, Twitter/tweets will be recognized as X/posts.

This can happen if your post begins with "@".   This may cause X to assume that you are engaging in a conversation with another X user.   In these cases, only the followers of both you and that user will see the posts in their timelines.

Solution:

Re-word your post so that it does not start with "@" if you want to avoid the need to re-post it for greater visibility.  Otherwise, only X users that follow both you and the user you are starting your po with will see it.

Additional Notes:

See the note under mentions here (quoted below) to see how X interprets this: https://help.x.com/en/using-x/types-of-posts

"NoteWhen you post a post beginning with a username, only people who follow both you and the account you are mentioning will see the post in their Home timeline. If you’d like all of your followers to see the post, the best way is to Repost or Quote post."
