Question:
How do I post clips from SnapStream to Slack?
First, you'll need to add your Slack account:
- In the Clipping interface, click the Slack button. Click the "Add a personal Slack account" link.
- On the resulting page, scroll down to "Slack User Accounts" and click the "Add Slack User' button.
- You'll be brought to a Slack login page outside of SnapStream, complete the authentication here, and you will be brought back to SnapStream.
- Once the Slack account has been added to SnapStream, you'll be able to share video screenshots and clips to Slack.
Note that you can also add a Slack account by going to your Profile Settings and clicking the Add Slack User button.
To share a video snapshot:
- Select the recording or clip from your Library.
- In the player, select the location in the recording you'd like to capture.
- In the action interface to the right of the player, click the Slack button and then the Image button.
- Select a Slack channel or direct message and provide an optional message text.
- Click the Share button.
To share a clip:
- In the video player, set your clip markers using Clip In (Z) and Clip Out (X)
- In the action interface to the right of the player, click the Slack button and then the Video button
- Select a Slack channel or direct message and provide an optional message text.
- Click the Share button.
