SnapStream has the ability to live stream your content to Facebook/YouTube.

If you are using YouTube Live, please do not forget that you need to enable Live Streaming on YouTube's website.

Once you have completed those instructions, you need to determine what content you will be live streaming:

  • A recording/clip from beginning to end
  • A segment of a recording/clip that has been marked for live streaming

As you can see, you have a few options for the content you would like to live stream.

There are a few ways to live streaming your content to social media and we'll go over those now.

  1. If you are going to live stream a recording/clip from beginning to end, you can do that in the Library.
    1. Locate the recording/clip you want to live stream and click on the 3 dots to the right of it.

      • Facebook Live
Select your account, input your details and click Post.
      • YouTube Live
Select your account, input your details, add a bumper image (optional) and click Upload.
    3. SnapStream will process your request and live stream the content to your social media account.
    4. Also, you can stream the whole recording from the web player, which can be done in the next step just without marking your clip start and clip end.

  2. If you are going to live stream a segment of a recording/clip, you can do that from the web player.

    1. Locate the recording/clip you want to live stream and click on it to start viewing it.

    2. Mark the clip start and clip end (aka the segment you want to live stream). You can also live stream the whole recording/clip if you do not set any clip start and clip endpoints.  You can also just set a clip start or a clip in to end so the video begins/ends at that endpoint.
    3. Select the social media platform you want to stream it to by clicking on the Tab.
      • Facebook
Select your account, input your details, click on Live and click Post.
      • YouTube
Select your account, input your details, click on Live, add a bumper image (optional) and click Upload.
    4. SnapStream will process your request and live stream the content to your social media account.
