Question:
Why won't the system allow me to post a video to Twitter/X that's longer than 2 minutes and 20 seconds?
Why do I get an error that says that the video is too long when attempting to post to Twitter/X?
Answer:
From now on, Twitter/tweets will be recognized as X/posts.
When you try to upload a video to X that exceeds 2 minutes and 20 seconds (140 seconds), you might observe that the Post button appears greyed out in the X panel. Additionally, the duration of the clip changes to red.

These alerts signify that the chosen clip surpasses the maximum allowable video length for the user's X account. X sets a video length restriction of 2 minutes and 20 seconds (140 seconds) for standard user accounts. SnapStream automatically detects these account restrictions and modifies the maximum video length as needed within the software.
If you receive these warnings, modify the start and end points of the clipping to shorten the clip's total duration to be equal to or under the account restrictions.
Additional Notes:
Some professional Twitter accounts have the capability to share videos that are up to 10 minutes long. Kindly reach out to X to find out the criteria for lifting the 140-second video restriction.
