Automatic Database Backups

SnapStream servers and encoders automatic create daily backups of the SnapStream database. These backup happen each morning at 3 AM local time and are useful in situations where the system needs to be restored to a previous state.

The servers retains the current backup along with the backups from the two previous days. If you would like to grab a copy of the automatic backup, the backups are typically stored in the following location:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL**.SNAPSTREAMTVDB\MSSQL\Backup"

The exact path to the automatic backups may vary depending on the locations of the database and the version of Microsoft SQL installed.

For example, if SQL Server 15 is installed and the database exists on the E:\ drive, then the path would be.

"E:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL15.SNAPSTREAMTVDB\MSSQL\Backup"
