Depending on the needs of your organization, it may be necessary to create additional user groups. LDAP and SAML groups can be linked to these groups as well.
To create a new user group:
- Browse to Admin > Security > Groups
- Click "Create".
- Fill out the name field.
- If applicable, Link any LDAP or SAML groups by simply typing the name here.
NOTE: This option will not appear if LDAP or SAML has not been configured. - Toggle any applicable permissions by simply clicking on the toggle button.
- Click "Save" at the bottom of the page once you're done.
You can even copy an existing group to retain those permissions, and give that copy a new name by clicking the copy icon () next to the group that you want to duplicate the permissions for.
Additional Notes:
Please note that LDAP or SAML must be configured before you can link a group outside of SnapStream. This setting can be changed later on.
